1st New York

New York was one of must-visit destination. There was no way we could leave USA without seeing NYC. So there it goes. We arrange out winter vacation to New York for a week. Yes, the whole one week just for one city (a the end of the day, one week was even insufficient to see everything). We stay on the quirky ‘New York Loft’ Hostel in Queens.
Looking at the size of this megacity, we even didn’t know where to start, since there are so many places to visit. The first day, we stopped at Trump Tower (tho it was not on our list). We continue to the Wall Street. Since we were business student, especially Irfan who took finance as his major, New York Stock Exchange building is an interesting sites.
So far, NYSE is the world’s largest stock exchange by market capitalization of its listed companies at US$13.39 trillion as of Dec 2010. The NYSE trading floor, located at 11 Wall Street, is composed of four rooms used for the trading activities. There is also fifth trading room at 30 Broad Street but it was closed in February 2007. The main building at 18 Broad Street, between the corners of Wall Street and Exchange Place. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1978, as was the 11 Wall Street building.
NYSE is open for trading on weekdays, Monday through Friday at 9.30 am to 4.00 pm.
